president's message A BCAA MEMBER walks into our Kerrisdale service location, looks around and says, "I must be in the wrong place. I was looking for BCAA…" No, this isn't the beginning of a joke, but the reaction we are getting from Members surprised and delighted by the changes to one of our newly renovated service locations. As we head into spring and many of us prepare to clean up our homes and garages, I am pleased to report that BCAA is doing the same to our service locations. In fact, we're not only cleaning; we're either renovating or refreshing each one. The new designs feature a bold, contemporary look while remaining connected to our B.C. roots and local communities. It also allows us to give you an inviting, comfortable and friendly service experience. So far, our team members love their new work environment and we hope you will too. In addition to the new look and feel of our locations, we will also be welcoming you with iPads to get things started quickly, and offering more private areas to support sensitive conversations. Renovated service locations will be fully redone with changes to layout, furnishings and materials, and in some cases even entirely new locations. The refreshed service locations will be rejuvenated through esthetic touches such as paint, graphics and refurbished greeter and waiting areas. So far, our Langley, Kerrisdale and Surrey service locations have received full facelifts. We plan renovations to several other service locations this year, including Vernon, Delta, Chilliwack, Nanaimo, West Vancouver and Coquitlam, with more to come in the future. While we want you to enjoy spending time in our locations, the goal is to get you on with your day as quickly as possible. So, in addition to sprucing up our sites, we are also improving our business processes. I am a big believer in simplicity and making things easy and convenient for our Members. We are on a mission at BCAA to spring-clean how we can best serve you. From asking you to sign fewer documents, to reducing the number of questions we ask you when you buy a home insurance policy, we are working hard to ensure you consistently get great service in person, on the phone or online – and that it's as quick, easy and convenient as we can possibly make it.
