wearing an ethereal Maggie Sottero gown and sparkling Jimmy Choos, to the sultry sound of Rihanna's
"Diamonds."
Ari kissed his bride, and the 110 guests gave a rowdy champagne toast before heading into the venue's retail
space, which had been transformed into a "crystal dining room." Glamorous tables were set with crystal candelabra and chic transparent Louis ghost chairs. Fluffy white floral centrepieces lit by warm candlelight added a soft
feel to the clean modern look.
After sampling a five-star custom tasting menu created by Secret Location, guests emerged from the dining
room to find another of the couple's signature surprises. During dinner, the former ceremony space had been
transformed into a nightclub, complete with a light show and the latest music mixed by DJ Marvel.
As Ruth is originally from Kenya, it was important to the couple that her extended family in Africa be part of
the celebration, too. They arranged for a party to be thrown in Ruth's hometown of Thika, on the same day as their
wedding in Vancouver. Whether guests danced the night away in Canada or Kenya, or congratulated the couple
in English, Swahili or Ruth's native Kamba, on this perfect summer night, everyone spoke the universal language
