She holds a Master of Arts degree in French Literature and was the fashion director at NUVO for almost six years before moving into the freelance arena. Her work has been featured in Elle Canada, the Globe & Mail, Glow, NylonGuys and enRoute magazines. She is the Fashion Editor at Real Weddings as well as FLARE's West Coast correspondent. Vasia put her camera skills to work on the elegant yet rustic Vancouver Island wedding of Anjali Patwari and Alex Keller on page 24. or Melia Sorenson began photographing weddings over a decade ago while completing her BFA at Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design. She remains enchanted with weddings — grateful for the opportunity to record and interpret days of love, beauty and celebration for remarkable people. She photographed the glamorous white wedding of Ruth Kale and Ari Burstein on page 40. or Now based in Vancouver but originally from Melbourne, Australia, Shannyn Higgins focuses on lifestyle and wedding photography. Her style has an emotional edge to it and a strong connection between her subjects and the lens. Shannyn photographed this issue's beauty feature starting on page 60. or A regular contributor to Real Weddings, Laura Sugden learned all her floral skills from her mum, and has since worked as a head designer in Vancouver. She is now happily designing, styling and writing about all things beautiful in the world of home design and weddings. Her expertise can be found in our "Flower Power" story on page 44. or Ronnie Lee Hill is a Vancouver-based wedding photographer who has had a passion for photography since first stepping into a dark room at 13 years old. She captured the West Coast-chic celebrations of Erin Bilinsky and Ryan Robinson on page 29. or 10 Clinton Hussey, born and bred in Vancouver, is a fallout of the Emily Carr Institute of Art & Design. Originally studying graphic design, he switched to photography after taking pictures for his projects and enjoying the process. "I like the mix of technical and the creative approach — it keeps it interesting." Now, 24 years later, he runs a commercial studio shooting for magazines, design firms and ad agencies. Heather Vince is a Vancouver-based makeup artist.
