Most spots can be completely removed by simply blotting the wet area," says Berg. Engineered with a higher dpf (denier per filament), the Colorado carpets are twisted and heat-set for lasting beauty, and solution dyed for rich colour. Designed to complement commercial interior projects, Kraus carpet coordinates with its full range of hard surface floor coverings. Beaulieu Canada has introduced SVELTE, the first product from BOLYU's new hybrid category of precision flooring. "SVELTE is a unique product in that it has many of the positive qualities of a soft surface and also incorporates  many of the characteristics of hard surfaces," says Anyk Desfossés, commercial sales and marketing manager. "It hits the mark for sustainability on several areas as SVELTE is PVC-free, contains a minimum of 70 per cent post-consumer recycled content and incorporates fabrics on the face and back that are 100 per cent recyclable." SVELTE has a comfortable, tactile finish that lends the feeling of suede or felt. "This product can be produced with precision colour to accommodate any corporate environment," says Desfossés. With SVELTE's crossover design, it offers better roller mobility than standard carpet, it improves acoustics and enhances thermo insulation. "Because SVELTE is a fabric that is fused on to a precision performance backing, there is no matting, pile pull-up or edge ravel." Maintenance for SVELTE is easy due to the fact that the smooth surface was developed to easily remove Carpet Ampco Grafix.indd 1 p42-45Carpet.indd 45 Colarado Masters from Kraus Flooring. dirt and fluid. "Mapei has a complete line of adhesives for carpet, hardwoods and many other types of flooring," says Pete Robitaille, technical representative. "For standard carpet, we have three products that can be categorized as good, better and best. First, our Ultrabond Eco-85 is a standard, quick-grab carpet adhesive. This product has been available for the last five years." Robitaille says Mapei's best-selling adhesive, the Ultrabond Eco-185, is a professional grade quick-grab carpet adhesive. "We have been offering the 185 for over 10 years. Our Ultrabond Eco285, a premium wet-set carpet adhesive, has been available for five years and has generated positive feedback from users." For carpet tiles with vinyl backing, Mapei recommends the Eco-810 and Eco-885. "The Eco-810 is one of the most widely used adhesives for 18- by 18-inch vinyl-backed carpet tiles," says Robitaille. "In the last few years we have seen significant use of our Eco-885 for tiles with synthetic-backed tiles." All Ultrabond Eco products are LEED compliant and low in VOCs. n december 2013    /45 13-10-24 10:22 AM 13-11-15 3:44 PM
