Branding Step 1: inspiration tear sheets Branding Step 2: palette and brand workbook H A R V E Y H A R D Y Your J E N N I F E R P A L E T T E {Vanilla} {Cranberry} In the case of Jennifer Harvey and Roger Hardy – married last July—their "essence" revolved around their family life with their two daughters, their admiration of their parents' relationships and their enjoyment of seven-course meals and working them off by playing sports together. Next the couple is asked to describe their dream wedding. Cave often draws on other influences to fill out the picture: what does the couple's dream house look like? for instance. Or she asks the couple to name favourite celebrities, noting "If someone tells me they identify with Matthew McConaughey, I know they want an outdoorsy, casual wedding. If they tell me Jennifer Lopez, it's going to be more formal." Jennifer and Roger wanted a wedding that was indeed dream-like: white flowing fabrics, candles, chandeliers and lanterns with the scent of vanilla delicately wafting through the air. After working with Roxanne, they ultimately chose a colour palette of vanilla, cranberry and gold for their formal reception at the Squamish Liliwat Cultural Centre, following the wedding ceremony in their backyard. Tables at the reception were named for locations special to the couple, indicated with elegant goldframed cranberry markers.
