The wedding we wanted: We are both nontraditional so we never envisioned a traditional wedding. Instead, we wanted something that really reflected our style. We love beautiful spaces, great food and entertaining. We pictured an intimate ceremony with close family and friends; a casual, classic cocktail style reception. However, we eventually opted for a four-course sit-down dinner, and we are thankful we did— we loved it! The food prepared by the Market restaurant was simply amazing and our guests raved about it. Below I loved my gown the first time I tried it on at Bryan's Bride. It's a Casablanca from Blue by Enzoani. Thierry's suit is a Dolce & Gabanna from Harry Rosen. He looked so handsome! Right all of the decor work was by Christopher Jodoin of Christopher J Designs. I loved the elegant, intimate look of the reception room. Why we chose Shangri-La: Who wouldn't want a 5 star wedding?! We knew we wanted something unique, fresh and totally us. When we saw the terrace and reception room, we were sold. The spaces were absolutely stunning. After discussing the menus, having a tasting at the Market by Jean-Georges restaurant and meeting the chef we were certain the Shangri-La was the right choice for us!
