Last spring, Kasandra Sproson regularly rose
before sunrise to capture the first blush of
light through the morning fog. One morning,
a solitary rower silently entered the scene,
breaking the stillness of the water. "It was
magical to be able to share that moment
forever with this image," she says.

Victor Liu captured a "green" sunrise on this
trail near Lake Magog, with a wilflower
meadow in the foreground. "There were no
clouds that day to add drama, but on the
other hand, not a single breeze ruined the
reflection," he says.
