"i always kept my camera in the same place, and had just gone to my van for a few minutes," says walch. "when i returned, i noticed that one of the foxes was checking it out. it even depressed the shutter. i tried not to laugh as i reached for my second camera and captured the scene." The resulting image, she says, was a blurry forest scene—not bad, considering the fox's lack of formal training. —Jane Nahirny © MiCHaela WalCH/MaXX iMageS CulTuRe TRAvel G B r IT ISH C o lU M B IA M AgA Z IN E • FA l l 2 0 1 3 7
