Explorations is a cohort program,
which means that students take core courses together every week.
Explorations promises you friendly professors and dynamic teaching in a
small, supportive learning community.

Explorations is interdisciplinary: courses explore a wide range of issues and
ideas from areas such as economics, sociology, political science and gender
studies, or literature, history, the creative arts and cultural studies.

Explorations develops lifelong skills, such as teamwork, research, critical and
creative thinking as well as effective communication.
At the end of Explorations you will have completed the first year of your
degree, and can continue your studies on any SFU campus (Surrey, Burnaby
and Vancouver).
