Moments we'll always remember: "I'll never forget Evan's speech at the wedding, where he serenaded me by singing 'Grow Old With You,' as our friend Kevin Sayer strummed along on guitar," says Bee Hong. "It didn't matter that singing is not Evan's forte or that he has difficulty carrying a tune. He sang with passion, emotion and sincerity. His love for me was plain to see and it was beautiful." Above Guests toasted the bride and groom in the Conway Room, which accommodated two-thirds of the guests. Highlight of the day: "The love and support we felt from our family and friends that day was truly humbling and left us feeling incredibly blessed," reflects Bee Hong. "Standing in the church before God, our family and friends to declare our love to one another and bind our lives together forever more, will always stand out in my memory." Above The terrace seated about 40 guests comfortably. Left For dinner, the Shangri-La prepared a choice of chicken, beef or fish entrees. What we've learned: "Picking an appropriate emcee is an important decision," says Evan. "The emcee sets the tone of the wedding reception and is the couple's representative to their guests. We suggest picking someone who knows both the bride and groom well, a person who has a light-hearted personality, but will also take the responsibility seriously." Left Doors leading from the Conway Room were left open to include the guests seated on the terrace. Right Bee Hong danced the night away in a Vera Wang organza dress. p36-45_Our Story Worth Wait.indd 38 4/24/12 2:59:22 PM
