4 B C B U S I N E S S . C A A P R I L 2 0 24 CONTRIBUTORS A long-time contributor to this magazine, Vancouver journalist Dee Hon loves to travel and learn about world events. This issue marks his eighth annual education guide for BCBusiness ("It's in the Details," p.40), but he continues to be inspired by the people he interviews. "I'm always lucky to talk to brilliant people building new and excit- ing projects," he says, "and I was humbled to hear about BCIT's micro-credential program to train nurses to help survivors of sexual assault." Mark Gibbon hasn't put his camera down since he took a trip to Malawi over 10 years ago. The Vancouver-based photographer, who graduated from Langara College five years ago, now works as an instructor for the same continuing studies photography program that he attended. He typically shoots food—including a BCBusiness story on hazelnuts in 2019—but says he channelled his love for "photographing people and places to help tell a story" for our 30 Under 30 feature (p.18). ON THE COVER Twenty- seven of our 30 winners showed up over two days at the historic Ironworks Studios. A weird and wonderful place, with inspiring and fun people. Fantastic time!
