Created with the restorative qualities of a desert landscape in mind, Desert Scapes is a biophilic- inspired flooring collection of luxury vinyl tile, vinyl sheet, and carpet tile that Interface devel- oped to meet the space-specific needs of health-care facilities. "This collection includes two vinyl sheet styles – Spike-tacular and Bloom With a View – help- ing to meet the needs of patient rooms and other health-care spaces that require visually seam- less installation, durability, and affordability," says Webb. Desert Scapes also includes two 4.5 mm Sound Choice LV T styles – Plant-Astic and Cactus Makes Perfect, both in six colourways – that pro- vide design flexibility, ease of maintenance, and slip resistance to health-care spaces. Norament pado offers a modern take on terrazzo flooring for contemporary and high-function inte- riors. It features a mosaic-like structure with a mix of colour chips embedded in a high-performance material – rubber. Perfect for entrance halls, exhi- bitions, and other public spaces, it creates a relaxed and engaging atmosphere through the updated application of a traditional technique. Even Path, the rigid core collection from Interface, features beautiful high-quality wood and stone designs built to stand the test of time. Featuring a multi-layered design, rigid core cen- tre and bevelled edges, Even Path is engineered to withstand heavy static loads and hide subfloor imperfections for a truly rigid, flat finish. Available in Even Path Woodgrains and Even Path Stones, the collection expresses the aesthetics of solid wood, marble, and concrete to the highest details. Like all Interface products, these new styles are carbon neutral across their full product lifecycle through the company's third-party verified Carbon Neutral Floors program. FLOORING PREPAR ATION Mapei has a system for highly moisture resistant LV T flooring that includes Planiprep PSC; Mapecem Quickpatch or Ultraplan Extreme 2; Planiseal MSP; and Ultrabond ECO 373 or Ultrabond ECO 399. "The Planiprep PSC is a fast-drying, cement- based, fibre-reinforced, polymer-modified patch and skimcoating compound that is designed for preparing concrete and wood substrates for floor- ing installation," says Yoanna Pergantis, marketing director, Mapei Canada. "The Mapecem Quickpatch is a high-performance, fast-setting, cementitious material used for the patching of concrete sur- faces, while the Ultraplan Extreme 2 is an advanced, hydraulic-cement-based, self-levelling compound designed for fast-track underlayment applications. It's formulated for levelling interior horizontal con- crete surfaces where environmental controls are not operational or the building is not enclosed." Pergantis says the Ultrabond ECO 399 is ideal for use with vinyl composition tile, luxury vinyl tile and luxury vinyl plank, vinyl enhanced tile, quartz tile, bio-based tile, fibreglass-reinforced vinyl sheet flooring, solid vinyl sheet flooring, reground rubber underlayment, cork underlayment, and vinyl- and polyolefin-backed carpet tile.
