Salazar notes, "These fibres are designed to reduce plastic shrinkage cracking in concrete. They can be used in place of other micro fibres, which have been around for 40 years, and are ideal for exterior driveways and virtually any areas that receive prolonged exposure to sun and wind during concrete placement." The fibres can also be used for mass concrete, poured walls, and any applications where plastic shrinkage cracking is a concern. The fine diameter and short length of PSI Fiberstrand Repreve 225 also makes it ideal for use where aesthetics are a concern, such as coloured concrete and stamped applica- tions. "We can provide experienced assistance to develop concrete mix designs using this new prod- uct, along with technical and marketing materials for the education and training of owners, engineers, contractors, and ready-mix producers," Salazar says. Currently Euclid is the only company in North America with access to this unique product. A March 2023 ANNUAL INDUSTRY FEATURE: Structural Steel Book your ad space now: | Dan Chapman 604.473.0316
