The career-long struggle of losing full workdays to build client contracts has been a reported challenge for most architects. The RAIC has responded to this expressed obstacle by developing a simple-to-use, online contracts platform. The RAIC Digital Contracts platform is designed to streamline the preparation and execution of the RAIC contract documents and offer architects a modern and simple document management system. This new platform has the capability to issue supplemental agree- ments and offer architects and clients the ability to use digital signature(s) to hasten the commencement of design for the benefit of all. The RAIC Digital Contracts platform has been designed to help keep all your contracts organized. Within the platform, project folders can be created to not only store the contract but also supplement agreements in a secure, password encrypted server. The platform has been prepared with precise attention to detail, ensuring the product delivered to clients is of the highest standard and quality. Contract covers have been re-designed for electronic sealing at the assembly stage prior to sending to the client for signature. RAIC Digital Contracts is designed to be clear and easy to under- stand, and most importantly to save the user time. With this new platform, we expect that contract processing steps will be cut in half, with the following simplified process: ▲ Register or login to a Digital Contracts account ▲ Select and purchase the desired contract(s) ▲ Complete and assemble the contract document form and assign it to a project folder ▲ Email draft to client directly in the platform (contract edits can be made directly in the platform) ▲ Email directly to client for electronic signature or optionally print for wet signature In addition to saving time, RAIC Digital Contracts provides high-quality and confidential documents. RAIC Digital Contracts will include the most up-to-date versions of the following CCDC-compliant contracts, including: ▲ RAIC Canadian Standard Form of Contract for Architect's Services – Document 6, 2022 Digital Edition ▲ RAIC Supplemental Agreement Form for Document 6 – Document 6SA – 2022 Digital Edition ▲ Canadian Standard Form of Contract between Architect and Consultant – RAIC Document 9, 2022 and Digital Edition ▲ Supplemental Agreement Form for Document 9 – RAIC Document 9SA – 2022 Digital Edition * Documents 6SA and 9 are new documents intended to address the concerns of Architects. Drafting contracts no longer needs to be a burden. RAIC Digital Contracts is a new tool that is designed to enable architects to focus on what matters: design.
