We did this recognizing that addressing environ- mental issues and climate change are strategic imperatives of Telus. Also, the social capitalism index on our corporate scorecard–which drives executive compensation–measures our commit- ment to advancing environmental and social goals, including key metrics related to our greenhouse gas ( GHG) emissions. Telus supports the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures. The TCFD has published recommenda- tions for the disclosure of the material financial impacts of climate-related risks and opportunities to help stakeholders better understand how organizations are addressing climate change. Our public disclosures, including Telus' 2020 Annual Information Form, align with those recommendations. In April 2021, we released our 2020 Sustainability Report outlining our ESG strategy and priorities. These include the ambitious goal to achieve 100-per- cent net-zero carbon neutrality across all of our operations by 2030. We also set new science-based GHG emissions reduction targets, approved by the Sci- ence Based Targets Initiative, which are consistent with limiting global warming to 1.5 C. In June, we launched the first sustainability-linked bond in Canada, which links financing to achieving science-based GHG reduction targets. This year, Telus was also recognized as one of Canada's Top 100 Greenest Employers, following international accolades for our global leadership in sustainability, including the Wall Street Journal 's Top 100 ranking of sustainably managed companies, the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index, and Corporate Knights' Global 100 most sustainable corporations and Best 50 Canadian corporate citizens. Sustainability is embedded in our core strategy: we are committed to fol- lowing sustainable business practices and to making decisions that balance economic growth with healthy com- munities and social benefits. We have a long-standing foundation of sustainabil- ity governance that we are continually enhancing to support our commitment to responsible corporate citizenship. Andrea Wood chief legal and governance officer Telus Corp.
