"We are proud to be on the front lines of reducing the spread of COVID-19," Vukovic says. "Following Public Health guidelines, we are ensuring that necessary physical distancing is implemented, providing a safe experience for shoppers at our retail partners serving essential services. As well, we are partnering with Island Health to provide security guards for their COVID-19 immunization clinics." Blackbird Security also has a division called Blackbird Technologies, which specializes in camera and alarm system installation and 24/7 monitoring. "We have a GPS enabled app, which shares everything from incident reporting to guard location with our clients in real time," Vukovic says. "We tie this technology together with our guard services to bring customized solutions for any security issue our clients may be facing." The team at Blackbird Security is also proud of its charity initiative, through which it has spon- sored 2,500 breakfasts for Canadian children this year through The Breakfast Club of Canada. The company specifies 50% of its support towards children in rural Indigenous communities, and it has donated 50 hours of security services to The Breakfast Club of Canada's silent auction. Blackbird Security also gives back by providing complimentary security services for Covenant House Vancouver, which provides social housing for struggling youth; and by financially supporting various charities, such as ALS Canada and the Okanagan Food Bank. Blackbird Security has recently released a bursary program for Indigenous students looking to start a career in security through the Justice Institute of BC. Blackbird Security is proud of the businesses it has supported throughout the years with regular security guard services, loss prevention, concierge services, mobile patrol and executive protection, to name a few. "It's a great feeling going to work knowing that what we do is protecting local BC busi- nesses, keeping people safe and supporting our community," Vukovic says. n P R O M O T E D C O N T E N T Learn more: blackbirdsecurity.ca Facebook: @blackbirdvancity Twitter: @blackbirdsecur1 Instagram: @blackbirdsecurity LinkedIn: @blackbirdsecurity
