Lobby Entrance "The addition of our West building in 2009 gave us the opportunity to do things differently. The design of our facility moves away from the 'big box' look and feel of a traditional convention centre," explains Claire Smith, vice-president of sales and marketing for the Vancouver Convention Centre. "We want to treat every delegate who walks through our doors to a unique experience; we want them to be inspired. "Our facility is not only functional, but environmentally sustainable in every way," adds Smith. "It's also esthetically beautiful, taking advantage of the striking natural surroundings that Vancouver is known for."
