New Super Visa
A
s part of its Action Plan for
Faster Family Reunification,
the federal government introduced a new "Super Visa" in December 2011 — enabling eligible parents
and grandparents of Canadian citizens to visit their families in Canada
for up to two years without renewing
their status. Note: Medical emergencies for visiting family
members are not covered by B.C.'s provincial health plan.
