RAIL
Pacific Central Station, located
just east of downtown, offers
scenic routes across Canada
and the Pacific Northwest.
VIA Rail, Amtrak and Rocky
Mountaineer offer rail services
to and from Vancouver.
FERRY
BC Ferries offers car and passenger
service from Tsawwassen and Horseshoe
Bay to Vancouver Island, the Gulf Islands
and the Sunshine Coast. V2V has daily
direct passenger service between
downtown Vancouver and Victoria.
CAR
You can drive across
the U.S. border.
Interstate 5 (I-5) from
Seattle becomes
Hwy. 99 across the
Canada/U.S. border.
GETTING HERE
COACH
BC Ferries Connector provides
service between Vancouver
and Victoria. Cantrail
Coach Lines serves Seattle;
YVR Skylinx operates
regular routes to Whistler.
GETTING AROUND
TAXI
Taxis can be hailed on the street or at designated
stands at the airport, Pacific Central Station,
hotels and other amenities; you can also call
or book the cab online. Companies include
Black Top & Checker Cabs, MacLures Cabs,
Vancouver Taxi and Yellow Cab Company.
Ride-hailing services such as Lyft and Uber
are expected to launch locally in 2019.
BOAT
Aquabus and False
Creek Ferries water taxis
take passengers around
the False Creek area.
Stops include Yaletown,
Granville Island, Science
World and the Vancouver
Maritime Museum.
PUBLIC TRANSIT
Vancouver's public
transit system, Translink,
encompasses bus, SkyTrain
and Seabus service
throughout the metro

WALK
The downtown
peninsula is
highly walkable
and reasonably
safe at all hours.
BIKE SHARE
