Even in the 1970s and '80s, I found wheeling around the Seawall to be an accessible experience. It's a natural oasis inside an intense urban centre. ¢ ¢ B.C. SPORTS HALL OF FAME: Located at BC Place, this is home to both Terry Fox Plaza and the Terry Fox Gallery. Terry Fox's Marathon of Hope, a courageous cross- Canada run to raise funds to find a cure for cancer, was a true testament to what happens when barriers are broken. ¢ ¢ FAMILY FUN: The Stanley Park Train is a magical ride through a rainforest with tunnels, bridges and lakes. We took our grandson, Everett, there over the Christmas holidays. There's nothing quite like the awe and excitement of sharing the ride with a child who's experiencing this winter wonderland for the first time. PADDLEBOARD Ecomarine Paddlesports Centres rents boards and kayaks at three locations. KAYAK Deep Cove Canoe & Kayak Centre takes paddlers up Indian Arm. PEDAL BOAT Pedal the peaceful waters of False Creek on BC Water Bikes. POWER BOAT Find your own beach with an outboard from Granville Island Boat Rentals.
