When Hydroplaning Happens
I had to call BCAA on a weekend driving back from Campbell
River. I had a very scary incident on the highway. I hit a patch
of water at 110 km/h, lost control and hydroplaned off the
highway, spinning around backwards and proceeding into
a 10-foot ditch, and then into the trees. I missed a big tree by
about three feet, thankfully. Amazed I was still alive and the
car still upright, I called
BCAA, which sent a tow truck to
get me out. I'm so glad I had you guys on my side! There
were no injuries sustained, and I have a new appreciation
for slick roads!
