Above: The #SalmonRoadTrip was made
possible by road trip sponsors Canfisco,
Jim Pattison Lease, Save-on-Foods and
YVR. Right: Postmark Brewing, Stanley
and Pro Line Sports donated three road
trip packages for our photo contest.
Participants were challenged to post a
photo of their own salmon road trips. Use
the hashtag #SalmonRoadTrip to check out

Jeff Chamberlain, owner
of Bearfoot Renewables,
spotted our posts on
Instagram and immediately
reached out to donate this
portable solar panel so
Danny wouldn't have to sit
in the dark!
Guests were treated to whiskey-
smoked wild Sockeye appetizers.
The #SalmonRoadTrip was launched to raise funds and engage
a new generation of volunteers in grassroots salmon stewardship
supported by the Pacific Salmon Foundation's Community Salmon
Program. Starting in September, PSF's Danny Lanigan followed
the migration route of the Sockeye upstream with the PSF Boler.
Along the way, he stopped at nine events sponsored by Save-on-
Foods in communities along the Fraser River. The final stop was in
Salmon Arm at Tsútswecw Park for the quadrennial Salute to the
Sockeye Festival.

"Several companies in the Pattison Group
made the #SalmonRoadTrip possible. Our
longtime friend Dan Nomura, president and
CEO of Canfisco, introduced us to folks at
Jimmy Pattison Lease, who donated the tow
vehicle, and Save-on-Foods, which hosted
stops at nine locations on the way to the
Adams River."
