degree program, you will study
a core curriculum consisting of
courses in health, biomechanics,
anatomy, physiology, motor
learning, psychology and sociology, specializing in one of
three streams: Interdisciplinary
Studies, Kinesiology and Health
Science, or Physical and Health
Education.
In addition to core, the degree program in Kinesiology allows you to explore
related fields and disciplines through elective courses, co-operative education,
internship and community placements. Graduates find employment in healthpromotion organizations, community recreation centres, rehabilitation centres
and professional sport and sport-marketing organizations around the world.
An increasing number of our students use their degree in Kinesiology as a
stepping-stone towards additional degrees in medicine, rehabilitation sciences
or education.

The Norman B. Keevil Institute of Mining Engineering at UBC is the largest
mining school in North America, and one of the top two or three in the world.
We offer a cross-discipline approach that focusses on reducing environmental
impacts, increasing mineral extractions and increasing the rate of land
reclamation.
Through their studies students develop a keen understanding of mining,
mineral processing, economics, management, environmental studies, as well
as community health and well-being. The program offers amazing experiences,
real world training, practical knowledge and research opportunities.
